Welcome to Central Bar Association, Lucknow. This portal is designed, developed, and maintained by Develop India Online (DIO). By accessing, browsing, or using this eBar Management application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions, which constitute a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
1. Acceptance and Modification of Terms
These terms govern all digital services, user dashboards, member directories, and payment channels hosted on this platform. The Bar Association and its technology partner, DIO, reserve the dynamic right to modify, amend, or replace these terms at any time without prior individual notification. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. User Account Security & Eligibility
- Advocate Registrations: Access to the verified member dashboard is strictly restricted to valid advocates registered with the State Bar Council. You are responsible for providing authentic credentials, maintaining the confidentiality of your login passwords, and all activities that occur under your account.
- Public Access: Public users are granted limited access strictly to browse authorized public notifications, cause lists, or public legal directories. Any attempt to breach restricted advocate portals will be treated as an unauthorized cyber intrusion.
3. Prohibited Uses of the Portal
You strictly agree NOT to engage in any of the following activities:
- Using any automated data mining tools, web crawlers, scrapers, or extraction spiders to harvest lawyer data or client information.
- Uploading or transmitting any destructive payloads, viruses, Trojan horses, or malicious scripts designed to disrupt the server framework managed by DIO.
- Impersonating any legal professional, Bar official, or judicial officer, or misrepresenting your legal standing or enrollment status.
4. Electronic Communications & Notifications
By registering on this portal, you grant explicit consent to CBAL and DIO to send official communications, administrative receipts, transactional updates, and legal notices via SMS, Email, WhatsApp, or in-app push notifications. These electronic records satisfy all statutory legal requirements for written communication.
5. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
While Develop India Online (DIO) ensures maximum server uptime and data accuracy, the platform is provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis. Neither DIO nor the Bar Association shall be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from technical network disruptions, server downs, or temporary banking switch failures during payment processing. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DIO and the Bar Association against any claims arising out of your violation of these terms.
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted, construed, and governed exclusively in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes, claims, or proceedings arising out of or relating to the use of this software portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent local courts where the Bar Association is physically situated.
