Payment & Transaction Policy

Welcome to Central Bar Association, Lucknow, powered by Develop India Online (DIO). This Payment Policy governs all financial transactions, membership fee collections, welfare fund contributions, and dynamic renewals processed through our offline counters or online eBar portal. By initiating a payment, you agree to the processing timelines and terms outlined below:


1. Accepted Modes of Payment

To facilitate flexible administration for all bar members, the platform recognizes and processes payments through the following channels:

  • Online Digital Transactions (UPI / Net Banking / Cards): Instant digital payments can be made directly via our secure payment gateway integrated on the portal using UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), Credit/Debit Cards, or Net Banking.
  • Cheque / Demand Draft (DD): Payments via Cheques or DDs must be drawn in favor of the official account designated by the Bar Association. Realization of the membership or services is strictly subject to the successful clearing of the instrument by the bank.
  • Cash Payments: Cash is accepted strictly at the authorized physical billing counters of the Bar Association during official working hours against a computer-generated receipt.

2. Transaction Status and Processing Rules

All online payments are settled directly into our official bank account. Depending on bank server response times, transactions will fall into one of the following categories:

  • Successful / Received: The amount is successfully credited to our bank account. Your digital receipt will be generated instantly, and your membership/service status will update automatically.
  • On Hold / Pending: If a payment status shows "On Hold" due to network latency, members are advised NOT to re-initiate a second payment immediately. Please wait for official clearance.
  • Failed / Transaction Declined: If the transaction is rejected or fails due to wrong credentials, bank server crashes, or technical timeouts, the transaction is deemed unaccepted.

3. Resolution Timeline for Failed & Disputed Transactions

In case your money is debited from your bank account but the portal displays a **Failed**, **Hold**, or **Unaccepted** status, please note the following statutory guidelines:

Mandatory Waiting Period: Members must wait **48 to 72 hours** for final confirmation. During this window, our automated settlement system and technology partner Develop India Online (DIO) sync with the banking switch to check the final credit status.

  • If the money reaches our official bank account within 48–72 hours, your transaction status will automatically update to "Successful," and your invoice will be generated.
  • If the transaction is permanently rejected by the banking switch, the debited money will be automatically reversed back to your original payment source (Bank Account/UPI Wallet) by your respective bank within standard banking timelines (usually 5–7 working days).
