At Central Bar Association, Lucknow, eBar Management Powered by Develop India Online (DIO), we are committed to protecting your professional privacy and ensuring that your data is handled with the highest standards of security. In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, below are the statutory guidelines governing the collection, processing, and protection of your data:
- Data Collection & Purpose Limitation: CBAL collects personal and professional data—including but not limited to names, Bar Council enrollment numbers, biometrics/photographs (where applicable), contact details, and academic qualifications. This data is collected solely to maintain verified digital membership records, facilitate regulatory oversight, and manage official event registrations.
- Lawful Data Usage: The processed data will be used strictly for administrative operations, bar election management, identity verification, event notifications, and official communications related to CBAL. No data will be repurposed for unauthorized commercial profiling.
- Stringent Data Protection: All digital personal data is encrypted and stored securely on servers managed by Develop India Online (DIO). We deploy robust technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, leaks, or data breaches. Personal details will never be sold, leased, or shared with third-party marketing agencies.
- Data Principal Rights & Retention: In alignment with the DPDP Act 2023, personal data will be retained only as long as the individual remains an active member of the Bar or as required by statutory judicial records. Members (Data Principals) hold the right to seek correction, updation, or erasure of their non-statutory personal data by contacting the administration.
- Legal Disclosures: We reserve the right to disclose member data without prior consent only when explicitly mandated by a valid judicial warrant, government law enforcement authority, or statutory orders of the Bar Council of India.
