We are committed to safeguarding the digital privacy of our advocates, bar members, and visitors. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal information in complete compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

To provide seamless eBar administration, we collect the following types of information:
- Identity & Professional Data: Full name, Bar Council Enrollment Number, date of enrollment, blood group, parent bar association details, and copies of professional licenses or biometric/identity cards.
- Contact Information: Official mobile number, email address, residential address, and office/chamber locations.
- Transactional Data: Payment details, reference numbers, and billing history for membership renewals, identity cards, or event registrations (all processed securely via authorized third-party payment gateways).
- Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, and device telemetry logged automatically for security audit and system optimization purposes.
2. Lawful Basis and Purpose of Processing
In accordance with the DPDP Act 2023, we process your personal data under the lawful grounds of **Explicit Consent** or **Legitimate Uses** (such as statutory membership verification). The data is utilized for:
- Verifying and managing the official dynamic Advocate Directory.
- Generating digital bar identity cards, issuing certificates, and processing dynamic welfare fund records.
- Sending official updates, notice board resolutions, election schedules, and security alerts via SMS or Email.
- Preventing financial fraud, unauthorized data scraping, and maintaining cyber-security.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to private marketing agencies or data brokers. Your information is shared only under the following strict conditions:
- Technology Partner: With Develop India Online (DIO), acting as our secure Data Processor, strictly for maintaining cloud servers, software integrity, and technical optimization.
- Statutory Authorities: When requested or mandated by the Bar Council of India (BCI), State Bar Councils, Hon'ble Courts, or legal law enforcement agencies under applicable Indian laws.
4. Your Rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act 2023, as a member (Data Principal), you possess the following enforceable rights:
- Right to Access & Summary: The right to see a summary of your personal data processed on this platform.
- Right to Correction and Erasure: The right to update inaccurate details or request deletion of non-statutory or obsolete personal information.
- Right to Grievance Redressal: The right to register a complaint regarding any data handling practices with our Grievance Officer or escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI).
5. Data Security & Storage
All personal data is stored inside secure cloud databases within the geographical boundaries of India. We deploy standard industry-grade firewalls, SSL/TLS encryption, and role-based access tokens to prevent data leaks. However, while we take every statutory precaution, no digital transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
